Immortal beings like the sirens have a life stage above the Matriarch, and to the few oldest Mother Superiors they know the legendary status as Grande Dame. The pinnacle of siren kind in terms of magical might and the ultimate voice that can even soothe mindless eating machines. Though I'd love to go more into this, I'm saving it for Book 2 of The Sirens Remorse.
